Explanation of Types of Homestay

Economy: Homestay on a Budget
If you are on a very tight budget, "Economy" will probably match your pocketbook better than any other reasonable option. Economy Homestay provides a safe, clean accommodation near public transportation. However, you will trade off some of the upscale attributes of other formula for a less expensive fee. An "Economy" accommodation would usually involve a shared bedroom and bathroom.

Standard: Full Homestay - Most Popular Type of Homestay
This package provides for a private bedroom, shared bathroom, and 2 meals per day (continental breakfast and dinner). This is the most popular type of homestay. It affords guests the most for their money - a private bedroom and 2 meals per day. Our experience is that Standard homestay tends to be the preferred formula for guests in the 18-27 age range.

Executive Homestay: For The More Discriminating Guest
For more mature guests or those who want a more upscale accommodation, such as a private bathroom, we would recommend "Executive Homestay". This formula provides the most privacy and can sometimes accommodate special requests such as private phone line, TV, etc. We offer different levels of executive housing that reflect different meal or service options.

Meal Options
Each homestay package has two meal options:

Full Homestay:
Breakfast: Self-serve continental: breads, cold cereals, milk, juice, coffee, tea, yogurt, or fruit.
Dinner: as served by family - no special requests.

1. You are responsible for your own lunch and snacks.
2. Please do not take food from the home when you go out.
3. If the family is out for the evening or on a weekend outing, a prepared dinner will be available for you to heat up. Please clean up afterwards.
4. Special dietary needs: we respect vegetarians and those with special religious or medical dietary needs, and we will attempt to place them in homes that can accommodate them - prices may vary for special dietary needs. Otherwise, everyone eats the same meal for dinner.
5. Please be on time for dinner. If you will be late or not having dinner at all, please notify the family at least 2 - 4 hours in advance.

Bed & Breakfast (B&B):
Breakfast: self serve continental: breads, cold cereals, milk, coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, or, fruit.

1. You are responsible for your own lunch, dinner, and snacks.
2. Please do not take food from the home.
3. You will need to shop for your own food, prepare your own food, and clean-up all materials and surfaces used in cooking.
4. Please coordinate your use of the kitchen with your host.
5. Your host will provide you with your own area to store your food.
